Emma Raducanu aims to work with former Djokovic and Sharapova coach
The 19-year-old British tennis player Emma Raducanu, who sensationally won the US Open in 2021 when she was 18 years old, began negotiating with the famous specialist Riccardo Piatti, who previously worked with, among others, 20-time Grand Slam champion Novak Djokovic of Serbia and five-time TBS winner Maria Sharapova of Russia, to become her coach. This was reported by The Times.
Raducanu reportedly hopes to sign a deal with Piatti before the start of Roland Garros, which begins May 22.
Earlier, Emma Raducanu parted ways with her coach for the third time in a year. She ended her collaboration with coach Torben Beltz. The two had worked together for only five months. Beltz was Radukanu’s third coach in the last year. Nigel Sears was replaced by Andrew Richardson after Wimbledon 2021, however Radukanu parted ways with him too, despite the US Open title.
