The Jaipur Pink Panthers beat the Patna Pirates 50-31 to break their losing streak
The Jaipur Pink Panthers defeated the Patna Pirates 30-51 in the 83rd match of the Pro Kabaddi League Season 8 here on Sunday at Bengaluru’s Sheraton Grand, handing them their heaviest loss of the season. Arjun Deshwal was the show-stopper for the inaugural winners, scoring seventeen points and collecting his tenth Super 10 of the season.
Both sides will perform well in their match, and whoever is the best at providing their skill set will be the PKL victor.
None of Patna’s starting seven were able to make an impact in the game, with raider Guman Singh leading the way with eleven points and finishing as the team’s top performance of the night. Patna’s defense only managed six tackle points for the whole game, which proved to be one of the game’s biggest flaws.
The Pink Panthers, on the other hand, were outstanding on both offense and defense, picking up fourteen tackle points and three all-outs, which proved to be the game’s determining factor.
The team from Jaipur was all over the Pirates from the start and never allowed them a chance to get back into the game. Arjun was electrifying on the mat today as Jaipur’s striking raider wreaked havoc on the Patna-based team, scoring point after point in his raids and leaving the team exposed to all outs throughout the match.
The Jaipur-based team got off to a fast start, which caught Patna off guard in the early stages of the game. For the entire first half, Arjun and Deepak Niwas Hooda never allowed their opponents a chance to catch their breath, keeping the high-paced game moving and making it difficult for the opposition to recover and counterattack.
The Pink Panthers will undoubtedly be pleased with their victory against the Pirates and will look to build on it as they prepare to face Dabang Delhi K.C in their fifteenth encounter of the season on Thursday. The Pirates, on the other hand, will try to restore their composure as they still have a chance to finish first in the league with a one-game lead over the current leaders in Dabang Delhi.
As they meet U.P Yoddha in their highly anticipated rematch this season on Tuesday, the franchise and supporters will be hoping that players can dig deep into their reserves and rediscover their best.
With scores of 11-25 at the completion of the first twenty minutes, Jaipur had recorded two all-outs and enjoyed a commanding fourteen-point advantage over the Pirates heading into the second half. Vishal and Sandeep Dhull worked in perfect rhythm with one another, racking up a Thigh 5 each to ensure the Pirates couldn’t make a mark in their defense.
Guman Singh was a ray of hope for the Patna-based club, as the raider managed to flip the dominance for a few minutes, but lacked backup from his captain, Prashant Kumar Rai, and striking raider, Monu Goyat, who combined for only seven points.
Coaches are also beneficial in developing team spirit and abilities that will offer the greatest shot.
