Novak Djokovic commented on his upcoming semifinal
Twenty-time Grand Slam champion, world number one, Serb Novak Djokovic spoke about his expectations for the semifinal confrontation with Russian tennis player Karen Khachanov at the tournament in Belgrade (Serbia). The match between Djokovic and Khachanov will take place tomorrow, April 23.
“I’m very pleased that I will not be playing against a Serb (smiling). It’s a very good change,” the ATP press service quotes Djokovic as saying.
Prior to that, Djokovic had played two matches against his compatriots at the tournament in Belgrade. In the second round, he broke Laszlo Jere, and in the quarterfinals he defeated Miomir Kecmanovic.
Today, April 22, two quarterfinals will be held in Belgrade: Fabio Fognini (Italy) – Oscar Otte (Germany) and Andrey Rublev (Russia) – Taro Daniel (Japan).
