Paula Badosa reached the quarterfinals of the tournament in Miami

In Miami (USA) at Hard Rock Stadium, the fourth round match of the tennis tournament WTA-1000 took place in which the 24-year-old Spanish Paula Badoza (No. 6) and a representative of the Czech Republic, 16-year-old Linda Fruchvirtova (No. 279) met.

The meeting ended with Badosa’s victory in two sets, 6-2, 6-3. The match lasted 1 hour and 22 minutes.

Badosa had four aces, three double faults and 5 of 7 (71%) break points. Her opponent had no aces. Fruhvirtova made two double faults and successfully converted 1 of 6 (17%) break points.

In the quarterfinals of the tournament Badosa will meet the representative of the USA Jessica Pegula (21st ranking).

The women’s tournament in Miami runs March 22-April 3 on a hard court and is part of the WTA-1000 series, the equivalent of the Masters Series on the men’s tour. The women’s portion of the event has a prize pool of $8,369,455.
