Radukanu will play Swiontek in the quarterfinals of the tournament
British tennis player Emma Raducanu reached the quarterfinals of the WTA 500 tournament in Stuttgart (Germany). The world No. 12 and 2021 US Open champion beat Tamara Korpacz of Germany in her second round match.
The meeting ended with a score of 6-0, 2-6, 6-1. The match lasted one hour and 40 minutes.
Radukanu served five aces, made four double faults and converted five break points out of eight. Her opponent, ranked 118th in the WTA rankings, served once, made one double fault and had two break points out of three.
Now in the quarterfinals of the prestigious tournament Radukanu will meet Polish tennis player Iga Swiatek. She is currently at the top of the WTA rankings as world number one.
The prize pool for the Stuttgart event was $703,580. The current champion is Australian Ashley Bartee who finished her career during the current season.
