On the first day of play against Sri Lanka in Mohali, India reached 357/6.

On the first day of the first Test against Sri Lanka, India batted brilliantly and reached a good total of 357/6 at stumps at the IS Bindra Stadium in Mohali on Friday.

After winning the toss, India elected to bat first, and the opening duo of skipper Rohit Sharma and Mayank Agarwal proved the decision was correct. The two Indian batters cruised over the 50-run mark with ease against Sri Lankan spinners, putting India in command. Rohit, on the other hand, was bowled by Sri Lankan fast bowler Lahiru Kumara while attempting to pull a short ball, falling for 29 off 28 balls with six boundaries.

Because cricket has so many distinct formats, each one has its own fan following. Because of its intensity and sincerity, some individuals like watching test matches. While some people prefer Twenty-20, which requires no interaction and is immensely interesting. Test Match cricket is a classic format of the game.

Vihari and Kohli, India’s No. 3 batsman, put on a 90-run third-wicket stand to put their team in complete command of Sri Lanka.

Kohli, on the other hand, provided Williamson his whole backing, empathising with the challenges of leadership in all three forms. “These kinds of concerns do come from time to time, especially when you experience a setback,” says the author.

It’s a part of having captaincy responsibilities in all three formats, I believe “he stated “I don’t believe that outcomes can always determine leadership. It’s also important how you bring the squad together and get the people to work under you, which Kane has done a fantastic job of.”

In the closing session of the first day, the two left-handed batters annihilated the visiting bowlers, scoring 104 runs for the sixth wicket in only 118 balls to send India above the 300-run barrier.

The Indian wicket-keeper batsman appeared to be on his way to a century, but he misjudged a straight ball that smashed into his stumps, giving Sri Lanka and their seamer Suranga Lakmal cause for celebration. Following Pant’s departure, Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin moved India above the 350-run mark.
