Carlos Alcaraz named the key to defeating Stefanos Tsitsipas in the fourth round of Miami
Spanish tennis player Carlos Alcaraz revealed what helped him beat Stefanos Tsitsipas of Greece in the fourth round of the ATP tournament in Miami (USA). Alcaraz outplayed Tsitsipas 7-5, 6-3 and advanced to the quarterfinals of the tournament.
“It was very, very hard. He played unbelievable. All I can say is, in the first set, I fought until the last draw to get back.
I was aware that Stefanos was always looking for an opportunity to hit from the forehand. I tried to do two or three backhand crosses and then put him on the left side on the line, forcing him to hit it from the forehand on the run. That was the key. He had to hit a lot of backhand shots, trying to make some kind of play from the forehand. My left backhand on the line was very important,” ATP Press Service quoted Carlos Alcaraz as saying.
